Systems are great.
Having a repeatable framework gives you a stage to dance on. I am not much of a dancer, but I like to draw, so the stages I look for are different from a ballerina.
I collect and steal repeatable frameworks. They’re everywhere once you start looking and super practical—think of them as shortcuts to drawing winning sketchbook pages.
I share one with paid subscribers in my monthly sketchbook club—an online meetup. We put one of these frameworks to the test and draw together. Everyone leaves with a filled sketchbook page and another tool in the toolkit. The first edition was a lot of fun. If you’d like to join us next time, then consider upgrading to a paid subscription.
If not, no worries. You’ll still get my weekly thoughts on drawing and sketchbooks every Thursday morning, New Zealand time.
